Welcome to Introduction to Climate Change. This course provides an overview of the scientific, environmental, social, and economic dimensions of climate change. Students will explore the causes and impacts of climate change, examine current research and global challenges, and discuss possible solutions for creating a more sustainable future.
Through readings, videos, discussions, quizzes, and practical activities, students will develop a deeper understanding of climate systems, human influence on the environment, and the role individuals and societies can play in addressing climate change.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain the basic science behind climate change.
- Identify the major causes and consequences of climate change.
- Evaluate different approaches to sustainability and climate action.
- Reflect critically on environmental issues and their own role in creating positive change.
No prior knowledge is required. Curiosity, participation, and a willingness to engage with current environmental challenges are encouraged.
