Test anxiety has become an increasing problem in schools with adverse
consequences for the wellbeing and the academic performance of students.
The aim of the seminar is to understand the conditions that lead to
test anxiety as well as the mechanisms by which it affects students. On
this basis, we will discuss how teachers can counteract test anxiety in
the classroom. A special focus is given on the domain-specific form of
math anxiety and gender-related aspects.
